The Rwanda Defence Force has accused DRC of firing cross-border rockets into Rwanda. In a press release published today, RDF held the DRC armed forces responsible for firing two rockets that hit a village in Musanze District on Friday morning. No damage to property or human life has been reported. This is not the first time that rockets fired in the troubled region have strayed into Rwanda. Similar incidents happened in March and May among other aggressive attacks by DRC.

Tensions between Rwanda and DRC continue to escalate as the Rwandan President Paul Kagame and his Congolese counterpart Félix Tshisekediare are at odds over the M23 rebellion in DRC, which Kinshasa believes is being sponsored by Kigali.
