Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is asking African-American entrepreneurs to invest in Ghana.
The call was made on December 1, 2021, at the National Black Caucus of State Legislators’ 45th Annual Legislative Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. According to Akufo-Addo, the COVID-19 epidemic has caused various problems in the count.
Ghana received $2.65 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2020 from 279 projects. “For the first three quarters of 2021, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) registered FDI of US$973.38 million from 173 projects, with major ticket projects in the queue to improve FDI flows by the end of the year,” President Nana Addo said.
