A notorious militant leader in Nigeria’s Kaduna State, Ali Dogo also known as Yellow and 30 of his fighters were reportedly been killed by a Nigerian Air Force strike on Monday.

The raid was carried out by the Air Component of Operation WHIRL Punch in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna, where the terrorist kingpin Dogo was said to be having a meeting with his group at residence of a man identified as Alhaji Gwarzo in Yadi. The group is said to have fled the neighboring Niger state following a military bombardment there over the weekend.

The NAF said it “would continue to sustain offensive operations against these criminal elements.”

Reports say the militants were hiding at the residence of Alhaji Gwarzo at Yadi in the Giwa council area before they were eliminated by the airstrikes.
