Olamide, Nigerian-American wins $10m business funding – Forbes

At just 26 years of age, Olamide Olowe, founder of the Topicals skincare brand, has become the youngest black woman ever to raise more than $2m (£1.7m) in a financing round, according to business magazine Forbes. She smashed her own previous record and raised $10m.

Ms Olowe posted on her Instagram account that she was “excited” by the announcement and would continue expanding the company and supporting non-profits that provide mental health support.
