
New Delhi, 21 November: There is a popular saying in India, “Dosti se zyada kuch bhi nahi hota”. A very precise characteristic of the trusted & friendly character of Russia-India strategic partnership, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov said at the Russian Culture festival inauguration in Delhi.
At the opening of the Russian Culture Festival in New Delhi on Monday Russian envoy Denis Alipov announced that he is resuming a tradition of reciprocal cultural festivals between the two countries. According to him, the festival will be the most vibrant celebration of the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Russia and India.
Festival of Russian culture marking the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Russia and India will take place in New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, the Russian Ministry of Culture said on Monday. State academic honored dance ensemble of Dagestan Lezginka, musical ensemble Terem Quartet and state ensemble of the Cossack song Krinitsa will go on tour to perform in three metropolitan cities in India.
To mark 75th anniversary of Indo-Russian relationship, the ministry of culture noted that the diplomatic relations between India and Russia has very strong and rich history, which were established in 1947.

“The festival aims at the popularization of the diversity of the cultural heritage of Russia, which will introduce the best examples of the unique Indo Russian longstanding and time tested bilateral relationship, Dr. Vinay Sahasrbuddhe stated.
At the opening ceremony of Festival of Russian Culture, Indian and other ballet fans in the capital city had an enthralling experience.
