Foreign conglomerates taking part in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit include Microsoft, Nasdaq, Google, Suzuki and others.
Many countries like Singapore, U.K., Japan, the Netherlands, and Australia are organising country seminars during the conference and country pavilions at the Global Trade Show.
Netherlands-based companies are likely to sign potential investment agreements to the tune of 3.6 billion Euros at the summit.
These possible investment agreements are expected in port, renewable energy, manufacturing, and nutrient products, Amlan Bora, Chief Representative for India cum Trade and Investment Commissioner, Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) told.
The summit is also expected to strengthen ties between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), following PM Modi’s visit to the COP28 summit in Dubai in December. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will attend the Gujarat summit as the chief guest on 9 January.
The 3-km-long roadshow will start in the evening after the Prime Minister receives the UAE President at the airport.
Focusing on futuristic technology, the summit will explore sectors like semiconductors, green hydrogen, e-mobility, and space manufacturing. With over 100,000 registrations, a significant increase from 48,000 in 2019, and 32 partner countries compared to 15 in 2019, this edition is set to be a record-breaker.
